We got hilarious response to our Nomic review attempt. Yes, we're a sell-out. Lot's of kjøpedritt (consumer crap). But let's present an alternative, from our friend Rainer. You do need a pretty heavy workshop for this one, though.
To make the crampon-shoes is very easy, but to make the ice-axe is difficult. But for all that, here are the ingredients for two tools:
- 1,5 m oval tube stainless-steal 30x15x1,5 mm (for the shaft)
- 0,2 m² sheet metal stainless-steal 4 mm (for the blade holder)
- 0,1 m round metal stainless-steel Ø15 mm (for drilling parts)
- 4 bolts from Charlet-Moser (from the ice-axe Pulsar)
- 0,2 m round alu-metal Ø10 mm (for the upper fang)
- 2 Grivel The Horn
- 2 blades from Charlet-Moser (from the ice-axe Quark)
- and some other small parts
Now, the rest you have to look at the picture!
